Not Another Fad Diet
The Dr Idiot Healthy Eating Blog
Do you feel as if you need to lose weight?
Have you been told you need to eat more healthily?
Are you fed up with people judging you for what you put in your mouth?

Well, welcome to The Dr Idiot Blog on Healthy Eating.
This is no fad diet. This is no blame game.
I, the eponymous hero in this food related story, won't rest on individual responsibility or lean on personal accountability.
I will show you that many of the things that determine what you eat are outside of your control.
That the food choices we make are a natural reaction to a rather unnatural environment.
I might suggest a few things you can do about it.
I might poke fun at the traditional diets, written by so called 'experts' with their supposed 'experience'.

But I will tell you about all the different factors that are influencing what we consume.

And I might have a bit of fun whilst I do so.

Read on to find out more, starting with who I am and why you should care about what I think.
Who is Dr Idiot?
Firstly, I will confess that I am none of the people in the stock photo to the right. It is better for us all if you read my words and don't have to see my face.
Secondly, I will admit that I am not actually called Dr Idiot. My name is Dr I. Diot. An unfortunate choice by my parents, who did the hard work for the bullies before I had begun school.
I do know something about food though. I eat a lot of it after all. And I know how hard it is to consume only the recommended things everyone tells me I should and avoid all the ones they tell me I shouldn't. That is why I am the perfect person to talk to about healthy eating.
